In September 2025, we announced that Metalwire had joined the Accent Family of Companies. This made Metalwire part of an international market leader in baling wire and tying systems.
We are now taking the next step in that development: Metalwire will continue under the Accent name.
This change will not happen overnight. Over the coming period, we will transition step by step to the Accent name and identity. Our communications, digital channels, visual identity and, in time, our corporate structure will gradually be adapted.
We will keep our customers and other stakeholders informed throughout this process, including any practical changes that may affect them.
From collaboration to one recognisable brand
Since the acquisition, Metalwire and Accent have been working increasingly closely together. By bringing our European activities together under one name, we are building a stronger and more recognisable organisation.
Metalwire and D R Baling Wire are already part of the same international organisation. Over the coming period, these activities will be increasingly connected under the Accent brand.
This creates one clear proposition for customers and partners across Europe: one organisation combining local presence, specialist expertise and the strength of an international group.
What will remain the same?
Although the name is changing, the foundations of our service remain familiar.
Customers can continue to rely on:
the same contacts;
the same technical expertise;
the same reliable products;
the same personal service;
the same focus on quality and security of supply.
The people and expertise behind Metalwire will remain available. The difference is that our experience will increasingly be connected with Accent’s international knowledge, production capabilities and product development.
A stronger European organisation
Accent has offices and teams in the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Italy. From these locations, we support customers with high-quality wire solutions for the recycling, waste management, paper and industrial sectors.
Our existing product portfolio will remain available. Alongside baling wire and PlasLOC+, we will continue to supply galvanised wire, stainless steel wire and other specialist wire products.
By bringing our European activities together, we can share knowledge and market insights more effectively and make innovations available more quickly to customers in different countries.
One important example is PlasLOC+, our innovative PET baling wire for suitable baling applications. PlasLOC+ offers a lighter and cleaner alternative to steel and can contribute to lower wire costs, easier handling and a reduced environmental impact.
The next step in our development
The transition from Metalwire to Accent is more than a new name or visual identity. It is the next step in bringing together our knowledge, experience and international capabilities.
We are building on the strong reputation Metalwire has established while creating one clearer and stronger brand for Europe and beyond.
The transition will take place step by step. We will keep our customers and partners informed of every relevant next step.
